Through a combination of scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study opportunities, our goal is to ensure that financial barriers do not stand between you and a PSU degree.

STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS
How to Apply for Financial Aid at PSU.

Complete the FAFSA
File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid at studentaid.gov. Use PSU's Federal School Code: 001102. Priority deadline: February 15.

Review Your Aid Offer
Once your FAFSA is processed and your admission is confirmed, PSU will email your official Financial Aid Award Letter.

Accept or Decline Awards
Log into the PSU student portal to accept, reduce, or decline individual aid awards. Loans are never auto-accepted.

Complete Requirements
Some awards require additional steps: verification documents, entrance counseling for loans, or scholarship essays. Check your checklist.

Aid Disbursement
Aid is disbursed at the start of each semester after enrollment is confirmed. Any balance remaining after tuition/fees is refunded to you.
